About Me
I have been involved in organized sports for 24 years and I am still finding new and interesting way to keep me motivated and working hard. I started with soccer and stuck with it for 18 years. Sometime in middle school I found my love for long distance running. I always considered myself in shape and a sports person, then I moved to Arizona, and my sister got me into triathlons. I was amazed how these new friends viewed the word fitness and how they took it to the next few levels. From that point I have been trying to say yes to as many different methods of fitness as I can. I started competing in local triathlons, and those tri friends, got me hooked on mountain biking, and rock climbing. I was doing well until I got an IT band injury that sidelined me for a few months. While I was busy crying on a foam roller with my physical therapist, I was introduced to the training side of fitness. This opened up a whole new set of doors I had no idea I would be interested in. 3 years later I was a certified personal trainer and trying to help others come to the realization about fitness, and its many different forms and ideas behind the concepts. I feel there is an endless wealth of knowledge to gain from all the different activities, and from the people enjoying them. I have met some of my best friends training hard for something and now I want to be that person that motivates someone to do something that they never thought possible. I want to make a difference in peoples’ lives and help them to achieve that feeling of finishing a big race, or finally reaching that personal best that they have been yearning for. The taste of success is amazing, especially if there is someone there to enjoy it with you who has seen the hard work put into it.

Working with Scott this past year has been the best choice I could have made for my health.
Like many people, I found that coming in to my 30s I was not in the shape I wanted. New parts hurt, I was morbidly obese and has lost much of my flexibility. Scott’s background in functional fitness has really helped me turn the corner and I find myself thinner, with more energy and able to enjoy more of my life.
After our initial assessment, Scott began a personalized routine to help me build back my core strength and flexibility. And it wasn’t an easy workout! I remember thinking the first day that I wasn’t sure how far I could go, especially when it came to the challenge of The Shifter. But now I’m 50 pounds lighter and can excitedly hop on The Shifter without immediately being out of breath. I find myself reaching new benchmakrs each week. Scott still continues to push me to levels I didn’t realize I was capable of all the while maintaining a positive, supportive attitude including seeing me through training for a half marathon!
